However, as its deluxe title implies, there are more than a few added perks which put this game on a higher plinth than the original release, not least the fact that there are 100 paylines for players to bet on.
This 5-reel, 100-line slot will naturally cost players a bit more than the non-deluxe edition of the game, and players are looking at minimum stakes of £1 a go here.
At the opposite end of the wagering range, players can wager up to £50 a game on the slot, making it more suitable for high rollers than the original. The top prize remains the same, though, at a non-progressive 3,000 coins. Of course, 3,000 coins set against a £50 stake is worth more than 3,000 coins against a £12.50 bet, as the first slot offers.
Special features
Aside from a few changes to the quality of the imagery in this release, there isn’t much difference between the special features in both games. This deluxe edition also features the main character – the White Wizard – as a wild symbol. This Gandalf lookalike can substitute for all icons (save for scatters) which appear on reels 1, 3 or 5. Wilds can expand to cover any reel upon which they appear, as well as multiply all winnings by 3x their normal value.
Again, scatter icons appear as dragons, and these can trigger a free spin bonus when 3 or more pop up on the reels. Expect to land scattered cash prizes worth up to 300x your total bet if you land all 5 of them. Like most slots, the scatters in this game will also trigger a free spin bonus.

Bonus features
There isn’t anything overly impressive about the free spin bonus, aside from the fact that it provides between 15 and 25 free spins, depending on how many scatters you accumulated. In the feature, players can pick up additional scatter symbols which will re-trigger the bonus. In the first game, up to 100 could be won, but in the deluxe edition, as many as 400 extra spins can be pocketed in this manner.
Unfortunately, the slot still doesn’t have a secondary bonus round, which was something sorely lacking from the first release. It remains a somewhat bare-bones slot game for Eyecon.

The slot developers have put a fair amount of effort into making White Wizard: Deluxe more prosperous than the first game, but that only really applies if you fancy wagering more substantial sums of cash than you could in its predecessor.
